"nearly 1 billion people in the world today have no
access to clean water, and millions of women &
children spend several hours every day collecting
water from distant often polluted sources"
"every 15 seconds, a child dies from a water-related illness"
doc hendley, a fellow north carolinian, is doing his part to try & alleviate this problem. a bartender by trade, doc set out to help those in need of clean water by hosting wine events across the country to educate people about the need for clean water and to raise money. in turn he takes the money donated to the countries in need and educates the local people about clean water & uses local resources to build & maintain their own wells.
"the idea is that people will forever be able to
maintain access to clean water," hendley says.
educate yourself folks & let's join together to do something about this problem
