i've got some new music for your listening pleasure! last week when i went down to SC to hear emily play, i had the lovely pleasure of hearing hannah miller for the first time and she's just lovely i tell ya! you know someone's awesome when they're husband is backing them on ukulele and then they pass out kazoos to the whole crowd to join in on a song. her song "keep it simple" was featured recently on NBC's show Mercy.
one thing i love about hannah's songs are that they're deep with emotion, full of honesty, truth, and love and yet they don't skimp on touching on the tough stuff life brings, but show the raw emotion that can come out of that. add her breathy, but strong vocals and the music just soars. i ended up buying her full length album, into the black, and her most recent EP, somewhere in between, for my 2 hour ride back to Charlotte and listened to both of them a few times. since then, they've been on repeat in my car. i'm really diggin' her sound.
my favorite song is a fun little song entitled "honesty" and my favorite line...
"i like a sense of humor, i like a shaker & a mover,
i like a deep thinker, with a sensitive side"
rumor is that a new album is in the works. so keep an eye out!
