while browsing one more moore's blog the other day i discovered some of her amazing pictures from the big sur river in CA. one picture in particular caught my eye. it was of these amazing wooden adorandack chairs that sit right smack dab in the middle of the big sur river at the big sur river inn. i immediately proceded to search flickr & found quite a few pictures & just sat drooling over them.i immediately added the chairs to my mental list of places i must visit.. and not only do i want to visit, but honestly i want them in a river in my yard, that i can visit daily. this picture to me encompasses one of the most relaxing settings i could ever think of. there's nothing like playing in the river, but to be able to sit & read, talk with family & friends, or just enjoy the sounds of nature just makes me want to hop on a plane tomorrow just for one day in those chairs.
"everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul." ~john muir
i realized today that i'm missing this. the mountains are my place to reconnect when the world seems to overwhelm me. the place where i escape & the Lord eases my soul. nature for me just has a way of doing that.

I'm with you on connecting with nature...and I love those adirondack chairs, too! :) Peaceful.
This place is so beautiful! I like that quote, also.
Love those photos with the chairs... looks ever so calm & tranquil.
