{almond.leaf.studios}

how oh how have i failed to blog about this?  i'm seriously failing on the blog front, but i digress... i just can't do it all and that's ok.  it's really ok.  moving forward...
meet elizabeth marx.  isn't she just lovely? who is she exactly, you ask?
well, let's rewind about a year (crazy talk that it's been that long)...

http://www.almondleafstudios.com/
there's no doubt in my mind that the Big Guy Upstairs, you know... the One who created the universe yet loves my little soul in such an unfathomable way.  yeah.  that One ;) ... well i know that He orchestrated quite a few events for my path to cross with elizabeth's and i am sooo glad He did.   through a "chance" meeting and later over lunch, elizabeth offered me an opportunity i just couldn't refuse.  elizabeth is the creator and mastermind behind her fine art photography business, almond leaf studios, that she has grown over the last 2 years.  she asked little old me if i'd come along side her as her official 2nd shooter for the next year of weddings.  ummmm... YES PLEASE!!
we have now shot 6 weddings together, become great friends, and i absolute love her!!  she has such a beautiful heart, a passion to see justice in this world, and a heart for God and His creation that i connect with on many levels.  plus we have F-U-N folks.  lots of it!  for 2 single gals shooting weddings, we have to keep our wits about us in some way.

i've been blessed in so many ways by elizabeth.  she has been a confidant, an encourager for my heart, a teacher of this craft i'm learning, and most importantly, a really great friend.  we're off to SC this weekend for our 4th wedding of this year and i'm excited for our little road trip!  here are a few of my favorite images that i've taken this year so far.
make sure you show elizabeth some loving because she's one rad chic!

{emily.lynch.debut.album}

{excited is an understatement}
i love this friend on mine and have watched her over the last 2 years pursue her dream of becoming a musician and today is a big day for her...

over the last 2 years it's been an absolute joy to watch emily travel down a road that has been rocky, a total leap of faith, scary at times, so fun at others, but ultimately what she is supposed to do.  i've been to shows, we've taken some pictures, i've blogged about her here, here, here, here, and here and laughed a lot and found an amazing friend along the way.  emily has always blown me away with her passion for music, her God given talent, and her desire to do whatever it takes to get to where she longs to be... all with that beautiful smile on her face and a pep in her step.
i'm so proud of her and honored to be a part of this new album.  my photos of emily grace her new album and i'm so thankful and blessed to be a part of this milestone in her life. make sure you check out her album today and here are a few options of where you can pick it up

{africa :: part 1}

God blew me away with His extravagant love in Africa... His love for these people He knows by name in Africa, the orphans in the slums, the children in Gulu, the adults in the medical clinics, the football players on the field, the amazing Sports Outreach staff... and surprisingly He blew me away, yet again, for His deep, deep love for me.

day 1 and 2
 beautiful, beautiful baby.
right away, they welcome us with song, worship, and big beautiful smiles.  the joy in this place and their love for our Creator is so evident
 God's love is even blatantly evident even in His animals on Koro Farm, run by Sports Outreach
 let the football games begin!  so much fun had by all in the sports clinics
 coach klotzy... let's just say that he has an amazing gift and he is defintiely doing what he is living and doing exactly what the Lord created him to do.
 day 1 of medical clinics with nurse kasey who lives in kampala and joined our team for our time in uganda
 every patient was prayed over.  Lord, even now, bless these people!
 my FAVORITE shot from Gulu, Uganda.
me and the medical team.  i can work a pharmacy!
 a little bit of heaven equals loving on these beautiful babies while thier families see the doctors and nurses.
 sharing personal stories and God's love for them.  taking the Gospel to Uganda
 what a beautiful place with amazingly beautiful people
very glad to report even after days 1 and 2 it was VERY evident that the Lord is alive and well and moving in BIG ways in Uganda.
"the Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over your with singing" :: zephaniah 3:17

to be continued...
